MTX75 gearbox is it a front wheel drive box
What car is the MTX75 gearbox for? - Is it front wheel drive ?.
I have Westfield with 1.6 CVH Inter-cooled turbo engine nos GM10162. Obviously rear wheel drive.
Stage 3 tune - 220 bhp at rear wheels 170 Lbs/ft torque.
It had MT75 gearbox, gear ratios were no good for the car, I am replacing with series 9 HD from BGH gear tech.
I want to renew the clutch.
My big problem is I don't know what clutch plate and pressure plate to use
I have removerd engine/gearbox. The pressure plate contact face outside diameter is 220 mm..
The friction plate is dia 215mm., 1 inch 23 spline 4 paddle plate.
I've spent hours in Burton's catalogue and am more confused than ever.
Burton's catalogue against some clutches say not suitable for MTX75 box ??
Please help me.

Mt75 = rwd
MtX75. = fwd
Your problem will lie with where the mt75 come from as there are variations in ratios for petrol and diesel / sierras and granadas

you want a clutch plate from a type 9 car, so mk2 escort for example, then the cover for the rs turbo
i would speak to helix, tell them what you have and the power and torque you run they will spec you the right setup
