I need to remove the alternator on a mk6 escort 1800 zetec. It's at the front left of the engine bay but looks like once the bolts are undone it will not come out as there will be no space to pull it out.
Could some one please advise or post up a guide on how to remove this. Thanks

they drop down from underneath mate a pain in the twat to get out not much room to get your hands in

If it's drivers side front - Undo the radiator support frame, gives you more room.

Remove the right hand side (drivers side) support frame bolts and slacken the left side (pass side)
