I'm taking my head off. Can i reuse the headgasket and bolts again ? It's using a 1.8mm focus rs gasket but the engine has NOT been run yet so it hasn't seen any heat at all.

Should be ok? I Personally throw a new one in everytime it's been torqued up. But dons see why not. I would put new bolts in as they're stretch bolts but then again it's not been run.

I've read on here that if the engine hasn't been ran you will be ok.

Zetec headbolts can be used upto 3 times, when I built my zt I did use new ones though, but again if it hasn't ran then I would use them again.

out of curiosity, could you tell me the part number of the gasket and where you got it? last time i tried ford they were out of stock.

the 1.8mm gasket was on back order for ages. I gave up in the end and used a cometic 1.5mm from burton power.

The prvious owner already had the gasket so i'm not sure where he got it tbh.
