Hi all

My Orion 1600 ghia keeps getting really hot and it loosing water somewhere as I have to keep topping the tank up.

I'm going to re new all pipes the header tank and cap and I want to upgrade to a alloy rad.

My question will an upgraded s2 radiator fit the Orion as they are essentially the same at the front ?

Is the thermostat opening?
Are the fans kicking in?
I'd sort the problem first before renewing or uprating parts...

s2 rad wil fit but isn't as long due to the side mounted intercooler. is the thermostat doing its job and is the header tank and lid in order. if the cooling system isn't pressurised it will boil. could be a holed rad

Yeah fan is kicking in

It was fine till it over heated a month ago as fan switch packed up I replaced the fan switch and now it's loosing water and always hot.

Il check the header tank and cap for cracks today, cheers for your help guys

Surely the rst rad is pointless as it's smaller?

Found the problem.

There's coolant/water dripping/pissing out of left hand bottom side of engine as you stand in front of car? I haven't had a look yet as was at gym but could it be water pump as its near the belts.
