should a boost gauge make a noise!
Maybe paranoia but out in the car tonite windows up radio off. Boost gauge is on the A pillaer and when it starts to boost it makes a blowing noise. Surely. It shouldn't make a noise as its. Sealed for a constant reading??

what car? petrol or diesel?
diesels sound like you have a wasp inside the gauge when the boost comes up
petrol might need a one way valve as some i've had have needed.
out of interest what brand of gauge, some of the cheaper one's do this.
