turbo diesel white smoke
my 1996 turbo diesel escort smokes white on idle quite badly . its not burning oil more diesel smell .had the injectors rebuilt . new airfilter , new diesel filter . new glowplugs , dont know if the pumps been fiddled with ,[this is not the endura engine its the earlier british engine ]goes really well with black smoke on boost which you would expect anyone any ideas about the white smoke

Checked pump timing?
Is it one with 2 cam belts?
The pump belt can be tight to get on and some people undo the bolts on the pump gear to make it easier to get the belt on, but this can put the timing out.
