Default wasted spark conversion

im going to wasted spark on my cosworth, Is it possible to completely remove the dizzy or does the gear drive something else?

With standard dizzyless kits, you keep the dizzy to run the phase sensor.

Some people fit a sensor to the cams instead then ditch the dizzy for a cut down drive gear to go in the hole and blank it off.
