Default cosworth head bolts early or late

hello quick question probably a daft one but can i use early (small washer) head bolts instead of the late type (large washer) with out any problems? reason is i have just got my head back from being ported and cammed up to run n/a and found that the camshaft body is pretty thick and stopping me fitting an old late type (large washer) head bolt. head is a 2wd am sure its a late one as it has three fixing holes for the thermostat housing. one more thing the camshafts are kent cams cw22's which are 4wd type and have been supplied with the washers to fit the 2wd head i take the front roller bearing will be 2wd ones i need?

thanks for any info/help

stu
