You can get a plate off ebay which drops the standard bracket

if you use that plate with a erst bracket a small section of the erst bracket needs grinding away otherwise it causes the alternator to sit on the piss, difficult to see when on the car.

Yea iv cut off the standard escort mount and its got the proper blacktop mount welded on.
So i can mount the alternator in its standard postion at the back near inlet manifold, then do i have to make up a bracket for a idler pulley?
