building a zvh, what turbo?
Hey al,
im in the middle of building a 2.0 zvh,
ive got these pistons and rods: http://www.performanceenginecomponen....asp?id=250268
wil be running a stock head, cam stock or still undiceded,
and running ofam mangement,
but what turbo would be good for this setup?
would like to have boost comming in around 2500/2800 rpm,
and around 250ish bhp
wat (new) turbo would you advise?
Cheers Rob

if you phone a turbo specialist direct, they will build a turbo to your needs......
i know of a guy having a gt28 roller bearing core build together with rst rear end to make boost before 3k and hold to the limiter.... but you cam will drop off around 5500/6000rpm
i would just have your turbo rebuilt to stage2/3 hybrid and go with that...... but to get 250bhp you will need a ported head or you might aswel keep dreaming
port the head and run a genuine ford cam if thats the route you want to go, otherwise you wont get much past 230bhp without having to run a stupid size turbo or stupid levels of boost causing other problems and lag
if im honest i think its mad running a standard cam, i would run a newman phase 4 with double valve springs and solid lifters with ported head and stage 3 turbo and piss 250bhp
