Focus RS ticking noise from front right!
Can anybody please help, just removed my mountune suspension (bilstein ones) and replaced them with standard as there just too hard, left the springs on to keep it lowered. Now when braking and only when braking there is a metalic clicking coming from right front wheel.I have had wheel back off, caliper off disk off and checked all obvious stuff but clicking still there. It sounds rotational as car slows down clicking gets slower. No pumping through pedal and it drives bang on apart from this, I am desperate to find out what it is going to nurburgring on Sunday and dont want that ruining trip. Somebody said driveshaft splines might want lubricating as this can sometimes make clicking noise if dry, but would it only do it while braking? This is first time I have posted on sites like this so please bare with me if I take a while to reply or do something wrong, cheers. It has also got mountune discs and calipers.

If you go forward slightly then brake does it click
The. Try going backwards slowly and brake if it clicks I would say its the pad moving in the carrier
Whip the wheel off see if you can move the pad a little
And double check all your bolts

It doesn't do it when reversing and braking only going forward, its f***ing crazy we didn't touch anything to do with the brakes when doing the suspension. It just sounds like theres a nail in the tyre as soon as you hit the brakes! Help.
