RS turbo coolant level weirdness.
Now this may be coincidence but its worried me. I went to check the fluid levels on the rst tonite. The water is usually at the max line when stone cold but it was about 3 cm above. So I squeezed the hoses to see if they were full of water and in case of an air lock.
Then comes the worrying part. I took the oil cap off and the header tank started 'glugging' and the water level returned to normal. I had a new header tank cap to fit as last time I used it I noticed staining on the header tank where water had come out the cap.
Coincidence as I had just squeezed the pipes or does it indicate the headgaskets gone and the oil and water side are no longer seperate?

Not Crazy, just Unwell
It's weird that there's water pressure in the lump! I have come across something slightly similar before on a nova gte I had. There was a small hole in the bore of one cylinder, right where the water duct was. When it ran it was perfect! Slight water from the exhaust but a normal sign of good combustion. Except if u screwed the cap of it would " gasp". Hence holding water pressure. Don't know if this helps at all but thought I'd mention it!

Weird. It didn't do it today done 100 miles on motorways and town traffic no over heating, drives fine. Must have been coincidence and my squeezing the pipes disturbed and air lock.
Thanks for the help though.
