Default Sump gasket leaking after replacement!

i put a new sump gasket in last weekend on a mk5 fiesta zetec.
cleaned all the mating surfaces with brake cleaner and wd40, all the old gasket sealant came off, the surfaces top and bottom were both
clean of any bits / oil. i put loctite 5910 on the gasket, offered the gasket
up first, then but loctite 5910 on the sump and aligned it to the gasket, then progressivly hand tightened the nuts then torqued them up.
they are supposed to be 15 lbs/ft but my wrench only went to 20 lbs/ft. - is that the problem??

i spilt a load of oil down the front of the engine when refiling due to a flexible neck funnel, i cleaned what i could, but whever it's collecting it's either leaking down when engine is hot , or my gasket is leaking.

there is not enough dripping for it to drip to the ground, just an oily coating on the sump....

any ideas?? can you reuse a gasket i've already sealed up? or would i have to get a new one?
