Default Escort van 02 plate heater matrix can it be changed without removing the dash?

Looks like I may have to remove the heater matrix from my escort van 02, I have heard that this can be done without actually removing the dash - if so does anyone know how? Anyone got any instructions/pics that I could use to change mine?
Any help would be appreciated.
Vin

yes you can but you have to loosen bolts for movement it is tight I would rather rebuild an engine than replace another heater matrix I cut my arm to pieces

remove 2 hoses from bulk head behind engine that go onto heater matrix then remove the Phillip screws.
remove driver seat for easier access there some screws on side near pedals remove the plastics and wiggle the bastard out may have to loosen dash though to make it easier and give you bit of movement

Cheers seems like a bit of a job then, I will try it without removing the dash as this seems a nightmare - maybe just flushing it out might cause it to start working i have not tried backflushing it yet might be wirth a try.
