Default focus heater reisistor wiring question

my heater resistor packed in last week and got 2 from a scrap yard 1 blue 1 white, the blue one packed in again so left with he white one but for how long is anyone's guess lol. I was told there's a modification to the wiring to stop them overheating and wondering what this was

What can happen is a poorly fitted pollen filter allows water inside and into the motor, this can then partically sieze the motor hence it burns the resistor packs out!

Is there a way into the blower motor so I can put some grease in there and where is the pollen filter to check that

You would have seen it when you dropped the glovebox it's right in front of you, but as I have said to you before usually you would notice as the passenger footwell would be wet, the problem isn't as much the filter but people don't use a new seal between the cover and the windscreen as they should, the motor is a bit of a pain to get out.

Got a brand new resistor (not genuine ford part) and fitted it, smoking quite heavily which is blowing in to the car wen the blowers on and wandering is it normal for them to do this being brand new including the genuine ford ones?

Like I have said to you, it's more likely the motor causing it to heat up!

I got my motor out, wasn't that hard to get out tbh, wen I spin the fan by hand it stops with in less than 2 seconds could this be too much resistance
