Default could it be wheel bearings

I've had a noise on the car since just after I got the car, when the car moving there's like a rubbing/ grinding type of noise which comes and goes (mainly when accelerating) and also the brake pedal judders when applying the break but this comes and goes also but only when the u can here the noise so ruled out warped discs as that would be all the time, am I right in thinking it that it could be wheel bearings causing the brake judder and noise?

its a mk1 focus

1. Warped disk would'nt make noise all the time.
2. It most likely wishbones plus they cause brakes to judder.
3. If noise gets louder faster you go it will be bearing however a bearing noise is constant it doesn't start and stop or go away.

Cud knackered wishbones cause a rubbing type of noise even if there no knocking noise over bumps?

wishbones give all sorts or symptoms but it is either warped disk/disks or wishbones not wheel bearing

having the car looked at Tuesday for a free brake check, the mechanic in the garage reckons it could be rear breaks as there steering doesn't judder when braking, so having it put on the rollers to test them
