Question Am i getting this right? Fiesta/Fusion aftermarket audio.

Hi all,

Firstly thanks for any replies in advance, it's much appreciated.

OK, so best to start with what i want from the audio setup in my car, Fusion 2 2004/04 with standard factory stereo (see below).

I am not into ICE in a big way, so i don't want a sub and extra speakers etc, but what i do want is -

1. To pair my Samsung Galaxy S3 with my head unit in order to recieve calls and hear them through the speakers.

2. To do the same in order to hear music/movies from S3.

Often i will have a movie playing on my S3 in my old car and not actually be watching it (i know the legality of this so please no 'tut tut' comments) but rather just litening to the soundtrack and glancing at the screen every now and again. I tend to do it with films i've seen so i don't need to see the screen as much, or series like Sopranos or The Wire, which i've seen enough times to know whats going on without having to see it constantly.

Sometimes i will have the satnav on the phone with the Galaxys 'popup video' mode on, meaning the movie is in a window hovering over the satnav screen. (example below of popup over messaging screen)

I was using an AUX imput rather than Blueooth before in my old car (Fiesta MK3.5 actually using the tape deck!), meaning that the audio from BOTH the satnav and the video player would come through the speakers...would this still be the case via Bluetooth?

Thus far i have found these three ebay items which would seem to allow me to go down the Bluetooth route -

Would these items work well in a Fusion 04, and in your experience which is the best guide to follow on here to fit? Also for the phone calls should i get a mic?

OR can you think of a better way to achieve my aim? Should i look at fitting a Ford unit with a rear aux/bluetooth/mic?

I'm TOTALLY open for suggestions, i am way more interested in the end result than getting attached to a means of getting there.

Also, i am fairly handy being a builder, so i am not too worried about the removal process of the old unit, although i realise it's not the easiest.

Thanks loads for any help.

Paul
