Ford Courier van 1.8 diesel heater full on.
Nuisance problem...
V plate van and had a problem recently with heater changing temperature at will. I know that this is common and so changed the heater control valve. So far; so good, but now it is sometimes impossible to shut it off. other times it comes on full for no reason.
Therefore I suspect a connection somewhere behind the dash from the control knob. I imagine that this must be a potentiometer that controls the HCV voltage and therefore the valve aperture?
Any help would be appreciated.
Also, while I'm here, can you change the odometer illumination bulb without dismantling the speedo assembly?
Thank you for reading,
