Unhappy need help with focus st no boost!!! OIL FILTER HOUSING REPLACEMENT

thanks for looking, i have had great advice from you lot before, and really need some more please!

my friend has an st on an 07 plate, and had a strange prob, first thing is the car has hardly any boost in low gears, but some more in the higher one's,

now this is the weired bit there is a whining coming from the turbo on tick over, but if you pull up the dip stick a tad it stops????? any clues with this would be great as my mate cant really use the car and cant spare any more cash at fords!!!!

anyone else had a simler prob??

thanks in advance people

The only thing pulling the dip stick out might do is release some back pressure from blow by but i cant see that being an issue, plus if there was any it would blow the dipstick out anyway. On such a new car like an ST its very unlikely plus it would have no relation to the turbo what so ever.
I would pull off the hose to the turbo and check for play in the shaft, if its starved of oil its already shagged. You sure its not just a leak

i think the part is around Ł150 or you can get it from volvo for a bit cheaper. It's held in with 4 bolts, one on top and 3 from underneath, a wiring plug and a hose connector. Should take about an hour if you're handy with a spanner!

Default Boost problem

Hello,

I have Focus ST '06 with modification and I have boost problems. I dont have problem that I have always 1/4 of boost, but I dont have proper full boost as I shound have.
Also time to time its like.. its going to boost and then pressure wave around 1/4 of boost (you feel like car is not pushing constantly) and then continue into 3/4. With my Dreamscience ECU map I always had 4/4 of boost.
Boost seems to me also very slow... Turbo lag takes longer than before.

I once had problem with oil housing so I replaced it for new with breath pipe too.
Now I hear just a very little whistle from oil housing... not like when I had problem. Is there possibility that its faulted just a very little?

Or it can be problem with Boost solenoid? Is problem with solenoid shown on diagnostic as fault?

Thanks for help
