I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
P0149 is Fuel Timing Error
P1564 is (FIP) requesting reduced fuelling mode - not an error just a warning
P1666 is (FIP) crank reference synchronisation

Your timing is off for some reason. Check the timing belt/chain.

As long as you are sure the pump is timed correctly then many things cause these DTCs..... Fuel pump timing solenoid is the main one .( does it sound very knocky when it is running ?)
Also check for the TDC sensor being fury from a collapsed dmf for ref synchro issue.
As for the fuel draining back the fuel pipes allow air ingress so after it has run seems fine then if left the fuel drains back to tank as air is allowed in the pipe between pump and filter head .... also in a few cases the filter head itself goes west ...... did loads of these , used to be a technical service foreman , now a lecturer in motor vehicles ...... could be other things but would look at these first .
