Default Ford 6000CD Loss of Sound

Hi folks, I've recently returned to Ford ownership with a 2004 Focus C-Max TDCI.

However there is a lack of sound from the Ford 6000CD radio. The radio and CD seem to function ok and if i crank the volume right up I can hear the sound but very quietly.

I have googled this and found the same problem on another site, which pointed to the problem appearing after a battery change - but no answers were given.

I picked the car up last week and suspect the battery must have been off at the dealership at some stage.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, i'm hoping there must be a simple solution to sort this niggle.

Had this problem once on a Sierra with a separate amplifier. The fuse had blown.
Does your system have such an amplifier? All fuses (at the back) O.K.?

Cheers for that oldford, it sounds like a decent explanation. I will check and let you know how I get on. I'm not that familiar with the car yet but would guess it should have a seperate powered amp.

Would the blown fuse likely to be located on the rear of the unit itself?
