Default electrical problem

Hi all,
I think i have a electrical problem on my 93 mondeo, i brought it the other week and noticed that's when i put my head lights on the lights on my speedo console don't come on, i have took the console out and checked the bulbs they was fine, so i brought a second hand console and still is the same, i'm out of idea's now or i can think of that it's a electrical fault, but i'm on here hoping to be proved wrong.

I assume you tried the light dimmer switch for the dash lights ?, if the switch is duff simply fit another, or just bypass for ful brightness of the dials, most are on that all the time anyway.

ive checked the dimmer switch and there are no wires in the back, so just thought the switch wasn't for my year, how do we bypass it?

afaik, all the mondy had dimmer, it's likely as yours has the switch it does too, I would have a dig around and find the missing connector, you need this connector to easily light up the panel lights, but other ways of doing it if necessary, ie yours doesn't have the dimmer bit in the loom, so I'd defo have a good hunt for that first.
