I don't much like the look of that one because it's not got the crushable sealing ring; - its just a flat piece of stainless.
I've always used these style ones effectively; - notice the ridge round the inside that the one you posted doesn't have... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/T3-TURBO-TO-MA...item2a057115c8

I had to use one because the mating face on my manifold was slightly deformed. One of those gaskets with the sealing ring sorted it right out.

That's a scenario that is very hard for me to believe ever work out. Do you know of any cases where the turbine would have been killed by a Garrett exhaust gasket?

ive seen exhaust paste cause turbo damage years ago,
i have no doubt a fragment of gasket heading in to a turbine flat out would cause damage
