Default Mondeo HC woes

My ford mondeo 1.8 petrol has high HC at high rpm, it has an excessive smell and black smoke from the exhaust. it has had a new lambda and also the ECU and MAP sensor has been checked and given the Okay. The fuel pressure is 60 psi at idle on the fuel rail this seems a little high to me any ideas?
