rain and 26 psi = cry cry cry
anyone ever had issues whilst out in heavy rain with car holding back at high boost
have a feeling it may just have been cos my cone filter was getting soaked and drawing water through
as it picks up to around 22 psi it makes all i can describe as a BRRRR BRRRR BRRRR noise and holds back sort of like a stutter or as if someone turned ignition off ????
checked plugs ,leads ,turbo etc and all seems ok ,also checked all the gaps are correct phase, crank and also plug gapping and all fine
fuel pressure is good 3.5 with vac pipe off
this leads me to think it maybe just got damp with heavy rain as was a long motorway jog and very wet and lots of spray too!!!
currently just letting it dry out for a bit but just curious if evr happened to anyone else
car ran fine on way up were i was going then started playing up on way back ???
this happened to anyoone else
oh and bet you all thinking you were going to see a mashed in cossy due to the title if so
lol and thx

no had half a tank and very rare does it ever get lower than that
but also worth noting runs mint even when tank is low and always has unless you start drifting it round corners ,obviously then it will stutter due to fuel surge/starvation

Be thankful your intake is near the top of the engine bay, in my long arm induction kit on the focus it is sitting behind the NSF fog light about a 12 inches off the floor!!! Needless to say it isn't totally open to the elements I've put a splash guard directly underneath it covering it and also on the front lower grille to stop oncoming water spray from cars in front. A tiny bit of moisture isn't that bad only large amounts of standing water and large solid water droplets are bad. Tiny bits of moisture help lower intake charge temps (think aquamist)
