alternator wiring..... focus and mondeo

i have fitted a smaller focus alternator to my mondeo as the mondy one fouled the supercharger inlet manifold. the charge light on the dash no longer works bulb is ok and the battery is charging fine. as i understand it the focus one is ecu controlled where as the mondeo one isnt so is there a way to get the dash lamp working. the mondeo plug fitted straight onto the focus alternator btw with no mods etc

I thought the mondy were all ecu controlled, I can't see why it would be any different control wise.
I'll do some digging for you.

fella give me numbers from both alts i can then give u a definite answer some mondys were wired normally some the same as a focus

there are several numbers on the mondy alternator (bosch) which are....

0 124 415 006

KCB2 14v 57-105A

98BB 10300 BE

the focus ones arent visible while its on the engine and i dont want to pull the supercharger to get access.

been away fella just read this that set of numbers are not for a smart charge alternator think the pins are [w 7 volt output][sense 12 volt input] [l warning light] a rebuilder may be able to help u the focus alternator is running at its default setting 55 amps all the time
