Escort s2 rs turbo fuel metering unit problems
Hello my car wouldn't start last week after breaking down on the bypass ! I got it towed back to my mechanics garage and he said it's the fuel metering unit, there was fuel pressure but none at the top of the head he has replaced the fuel metering unit twice this week with ones off eBay (off running cars) but still no fuel pressure at the top of the head? Could it be anything else ?

Has anybody got any ideas please ?

Hi I know this post is old but couldn't help writing I would say this could be the fuel relay, it's happened to me a couple times, if you are in the driver side and reached under the dash with your right hand there is a pink relay, when the ignition is on wiggle it and you'll probably hear the pump start up.. It's because the relay setup is crap, it melts the solder on the pin at the back which doesn't connect and cuts the pump out

i have the same problem!! but the pink relay is fine, there is fuel to the metering unit, but nothing to the 4 injectors, any ideas? i have also replaced the fuel metering unit, any help much appreciated, cheers
