Tensioner 2.5 v6 1997 mondeo

How long does it take to change the tensioner on a 2.5 v6 mondeo. I have a knocking on the engine . A friend said its the tensioner . Is this likely and how easy is it to sort .

Also it has Air con . Ive been told this makes it a longer job by six hours

A knocking is unlikely to be the tensioner.

i wouldnt think the knocking would be a tensioner bottom pulleys are common on the diesel mondeos
