Default saph cosworth front drive shafts

hi all. quick question, are the front drive shafts on a saph cosworth 4x4 shorter then the front drive shafts on an xr4x4? i ask this as i im building the front end up on my saph cossy and ive had to buy a n/s/f drive shaft from a xr4x4 as the original 1 was u/s and it doesn't fit as its just a bit too long.
cheers

cheers for the reply. the bottom ball joint won't line up with the hole in the hub carrier because the drive shaft is too long. the o/s/f fits fine as its the original shaft.

4i shafts are not really the answer to the problem of them breaking inner joints they are too long imo i couldnt use them in my saff.

the answer is usually a broken engine mount, up rating the mounts helps alot!

the only reason i changed it was because the splines and the thread where knackered and i had an xr4x4 that i was breaking. ive only just got round to putting the cossy back together. ive read that the shaft would fit but mines only lowered a little so it won't.
cheers

Shit, seriously??? Have just bought some xr4x4 shafts for mine. It won't go round corners you say? Can you elaborate a bit?

from what ive learnt on here, you should only use them if the car has been lowered alot (think anymore then 25mm-30mm) cos originals may pop out? you'll find out when you try to fit them, i couldn't get mine to fit because it hasn't been lowered enough

what you might find is that the bottom ball joint wont line up with the hole in the hub carrier cos of the shaft been too long?
