hi guys, im currently building a zvh and need to know which route to take with cambelts. ive drilled the zetec block and fitted the adapter plate but am not overly happy with how it all sits! i know this is how pretty much every one in the country is done but feel there could be a better way! if the zetec water pump is used you can swap the plastic rollers on the pump over and discard the larger so just the small one sits on the left then aquire a 99 tooth cambelt from the american 2.0 ofund in the escort, focus or tracer. the only drilling that is needed then is for the cvh tensioner to fit just above the water pump. from this it looks like the belt will get better contact area with the pulleys. is there a massive flaw in my plan or have thousands of people missed an easier conversion?
