MK5 zetec s Gear linkage - ????

Is the gear linkage on the mk 5 fiesta zetec s inside the box??

Or is it at the bottom of the stick, mine feels like it needs a refurb but not sure if you can refurb it without taking the box out??

Anyone know for sure?
