Default rs2000 engine

hi all anyone know if the rs2000 engine is the same as say a 2.0 mondeo zetec or the point being is it a 2.0 zetec will it mount up the same and has got a belt or chain what are the diffrences any info would be good

no they are 2 very different engines and share no parts in common,
zetec is belt driven
i4 rs2k lump is chain

no parts are interchangeable.

both will bolt up to a mtx75 gearbox

they will both bolt up in a similar manner all depending on what car they are being fitted to and what gearbox you use

thanks just the answers im looking for im planning to fit one in a kit car based on an xr2 so was looking 2.0 zetec but found a cheap rs2000 engine and thaought it might be the same ...as the rs2000 is slightly more powerfull was going that was but now im changing my mind..using an xr2 box until I can source the rst box

both will bolt up to the ib5 box aswell mate however they wouldnt last long,
the s2lsd box would hold up resonable well
