Sierra 2wd Ignition coil?
I am looking for advice here for my YB Cossie engine. I have new Siemens DEKA injectors, new Motorsport dev. chip, new Ford 071 plugs, new cab and rotor, new HT wires etc but old ignition coil. I am not sure the one I have in the car is okay, but I am having some problems and am now trying to eliminate all possibilities.
Now it is the ignition coil turn. The engine starts, but I am not sure I am getting all the voltage on high rev. What do you guys recommend? How can I test the old coil?
If I go for a new one, what and where to buy?
I found new coil from Standard (Blue Streak) FD478X and should be good for 30.000-42.000 V. anybody knows this one? Is it okay for me to use?
Thanks...

You need to watch the primary resistance is in line with or near to original coil.
A lot go for a so called group a coil, these definitely improve matters spark wise, as are a bit higher energy.
Some have fitted the MSD blaster coil,(not msd uk), there is also a aldon one that can be used to good effect.

And if the one I have is okay, how can I test it?

tbh I would junk a std coil as they were pretty marginal at best when new.
I am sure the primary resistance is 0.7 to 0.9 ohm, so anywhere near that will be fine.
It will certainly be ok in the coil power dept with a decent coil that is new.
I will look up the coil you mention.
