rs2000 turbo or rs2300 turbo? whats better?
now...iv decided the best mod for my rs2000 is to eventually 2.3 it...but later on il eventually want to turbo it...what i want to know is whats better and more worthwhile?
2.3 it now then turbo it later on...or save my pennies leave it as a 2.0 and turbo that?
now going on the proviso "bigger is better" id guess the 2.3 would be better for more power and easier to achieve that power with less stress to the engine...or is this a weaker set up? will it be more expensive to turbo (not including the original 2.3 conversion as that would have been done a while before anyway)
or is the 2.0 gonna be a more reliable more tunable motor to turbo?
whats your thoughts?
if the latter (leave as 2.0) il start saving now to turbo it, otherwise il build the 2.3 then turbo later on)
thanks all in advance

PassionFord Post Whore!!
you may aswell save your money and go for the spec you really want,
whats the point in spending money on a n/a application just to change paths and turbo later. the 2 specs would require a completly different build.
just save your money mate and do what you really want

i suppose it might be easier to buy another engine and build that up tho and leave the standard rs2000 engine in my car? might save me some money i suppose.
ok then which engine is better to turbo? a normal rs2000 engine or build a rs2300 turbo engine using the galaxy bottom end?

2.3 does not have oil jets through the rods but you would be changing them anyways for turbo i hope?
2.3 can not rev as high as the 2.0 in standard form but a guy on the rs2k owners club built a 2.3 that ran 300bhp at 12psi...... there is a rough guide on their forum

But remember if its 4x4 your transfer box won't take it so that will need modding, I've heard of some 4x4 owners using bits from evos for this but don't know any details I'm afraid.
