Exclamation galaxy tdi loosing power

hi ther ive got a 1999 galaxy tdi with the 110 bhp engine code avg .The problem is it keeps losing power ive read a couple of bits on this site and i now its the map sensor in the ecu that is giving faulty readings.i need to now if anyone can tell me wher to get one.main agent waste of time says it comes comlpleat with the ecu can get it fixed for 220 plus vat but its only 3 solderd joints and i cant see 220 in that but you now wot these companys r like .the unit is a bosch unit and ther more hard work than the agents. any help much appr

are you sure its the ecu....usually its the air flow meter (m.a.f.) which you can get from euro car parts for about 60 quid

As above or you can get it genuine from vw for about 60 quid too.

as my man says normally mass air flow meter goes faulty gives an impression that the turbo aint working you can try cleanig with a squirt of brake cleaner short term but will come back

Get a second hand ecu and solder the map sensor out and into yours.
Replace the ecu completely, but then you need to code the immobilizer.
Check with bba-reman if they can repair your ecu.
Those are your options, sensor is not sold by Bosch.

But before doing that check the hose going to your ecu for cracks/leaks/contamination.
Also check INSIDE the ecu, there's a very short hose here.

Could you post the trouble codes that were read?

thanks for youre response .will plug it on the kts when i go back to work and check the live data. but last time the diagnostic lad at work did it he said it was workin fine but suppose it worth another look. let you know how i get on cheers
