turbo is not well
my escort rs turbo starts aruns fine with no smoke i take it for a spin , put my foot down it boosts then splutters big bang and a cloud of blue smoke, just had a recon turbo fitted so what could it be ???

you sure the motor is timed up right?
not running too much boost?

well it runs and revs perfect and drives ok just once the tubo kicks in on release i wound down -31 and still doing it ?

standard, all ive dne is put a recon t3 on it like i say no smoke at all on driving like miss daisy the second i turn into lewis hamilton it spluttes big pop and blue smoke then clears again

What do you mean wond it down? To reduce boost you need to make it longer not shorter.

i bought the car with the turbo gone so iwouldnt know ill give that a try

Did you get the turbo re-coned? or bought it re-coned?
could be one of many things, speaking from experience of similar symptoms
weak spark
timing's out
-31 actuator on std ecu (too much boost)
blocked/squashed vacuum hose to the ecu. ( a favourtie of my car )

hmm could be one of many other things then. i would strongly suggest winding the boost off completely until you can get a tuner to have a look at it. heard way to many sob stories of people who try to do a bit of home tuning and a few weeks down the road picking bits of theyre engines up off the road.
