Rs2000 4x4 as a track car???
Would an Rs2000 4x4 be any good as a track car?
Basically my boss has a 200hp zvh turbo mk4 escort and wants a change.
What can be done to make an rs2000 quicker and better?
What standrd figures do they have???
Any help greatly appreciated as he will bug me to death!!

no reason you couldn't fit the zvh engine in the rs2k, they do have a habbit of breaking props/diffs IIRC.
engine will marry up to the mtx75box, it's a stronger box than the bc/ib5 ones also.
the standard I4 engine in the rs2k produces 150bhp, tuning wise will cost quite a bit, not a very popular developed engine really, cvh/zetecs are more common.

so he could use the zvh engine in it and would benifit from 4wd. Im guessing that would be fairly easy to do. Just getting the two wires from the rst loom again and putting them onto the right one on the rs2k.
How about the standard engine. How fast 0-60 and top speed??
Would it be a case of 2.3 bottom end and throttle bodies to get a bit more out of it??
my boss likes top speed on a track car for some reason not an all rounder. the current mk4 is awful as it has horrible heavy steering because of the lsd and fat tyres to try and get the wheels to stick to the tarmac!
