Default 2wd clutch problem

hey, i have just bought a 2wd cossie with a noisy thrust bearing the car has an ap racing clutch from what i have been told from the previous onwer i have got a new standard cossie clutch from him i am just wanting to know is it stright foward enough to remove the box on its own without lifting the engine out..

Yes quite easy to do on it's own, if the bearing is just a bit noisy when the pedal is up and goes when you press the pedal, most live with it, as it is usually not a problem, but if really noisy obviously change it.
Just back off the adjuster at the pedal first by pulling pedal up then pushing adjuster pawl forwards say 1" release press pedal a few times to reset the auto adjuster, maybe it has taken up too much slack so it is riding the clutch ?

when the care is ticking over it is quiet once you put your foot on the clutch to select a gear the noise is unreal.

well when i was out working at the temp sender tonight i notice the top 2 and the side bell housing bolts where slack even the one with the earth strap where only finger tight so i tighten them all up fired up the car put the cluth pedal in and the noise is away altoghter now happy days

Happy days that was an easy fix, why can't previous owners bolt things together correctly though!!
You are very lucky with a loose main earth cable that you didn't fry your engine loom and ecu, as having seen this before it tries to use the ecu earth points to power up starter.
