VEMS wideband AFR

VEMS wideband AFR
had this for a while and as a standalone unit has been fine on my carb turbo setup, but now i'm getting efi running on megasquirt.
the problem is vems technical side is somewhat crap and i can't figure how to get it to communicate to my laptop through a usb com setup (which works with megasquirt).
i can't get a proper signal out of the wideband to help setup MS, all readings are way off.
just hopeful that someone else has used the same wideband, i know a few have had them, but not sure if they've done anything more than standalone, even datalogging would be nice.
cheers

have you posted up on the VEMS forum mate?
I have the VEMS AFR/egt guage but havn't used it for anything but a guage yet.
when i did have a problem switching between diplay modes they seemed quite helpful on the forum.
would be most appreciated if you post up your findings aswell as i plan to use megasquirt with my rst in the future

i'm awaiting approval from the admin team, so i can't post yet sadly.
what i've found so far is that megatune needs to be a specific version to setup the wideband outputs and that the latest firmware isn't adviseable.
i'm going to try to force older firmware onto the wideband and then use a different version of megatune to get it to communicate.
until i get approval on the forum, that's all i can do sadly.
i'l keep this updated.

had to take the wideband out of the car and take home to pc, got it working now.
my first tip is to not use a laptop with a usb adaptor, not very reliable.
secondly, don't change firmware, it won't work afterwards lol!
the megatune that the forum links to is what you need, it's different from the one i use for my megasquirt and is specific for the wideband.
not worked much else out yet, but after 5 mins on the pc with it, it's good again.

piece of cake to setup to talk to ecu, once you update firmware with a known version, '08 is what i found to be best today, then you can use the right version of megatune and tell the wideband how you want the signal to be sent to ecu.
i'm usign a 0-5v signal as it gives better resolution.

The Lambda output is a great feature to be able to use with the likes of megasquirt.
