RS Turbo Mayonaisse
Hi,
I'm the proud owner of an Escort 35 Popular van with a tuned RS Turbo engine. However, I turned the boost up a little and have blown the head gasket (I didn't know which gasket it had so thought I'd risk it and payed the price). I've sorced a decent fully worked and reconned head so that is no problem. However, I'm little stuck on how I remove all the mayonaisse from the lubrication system in the block, turbo etc. My idea was to put it all together (with a Felpro gasket I reckon?) fill it with oil, gently dirve it for about half an hour and then drain it. I would then repeat the process before re-filling it. Is this the best way to go about it or is there an easier or more beneficial way. Also, this is my first ownership of the RS turbo engine, I assume it runs on 10W40?
Any help is gratefully recieved,
Thanks.
