Default RS2000 4x4 rear brakes

Hi there , ive got a problem with my o/sr brake ! As in the damn thing doesnt want to work ! All the others work fine as can be seen by the shiny discs , but the o/sr has a discoloured brown disc ! Which lead me to believe that the caliper was at fault ! After jacking up the car and getting someone else to press the brakes there was little pressure goin to the pads ! The other side was rock solid so i replaced the caliper ! When out on road test there was still no braking on the o/sr caliper ! Now im stuck and dont know what to do ! The brakes were blead fine and rechecked after road test ! Can anyone shed any light onto my mysterious braking fault ????

Could be some other obstruction somewhere, a badly seized piston will stop the pads moving as well, but as you've done that with a known good one(?) this will be ok, so it's got to be fluid related.

Does it have abs, I assumed it would have, but if not check right from the master cylinder for pressure, will be easy to track down if no abs, I just take pipes off at brakes and blow compressed air down pipes, you'll know if one is blocked then!!

Hi,

have already seen more faults like this on RS2000 and S2 RST, most common fault are the compensation/biassing valves underneath the car. check them.
hope to be of any help

After i did it though , i thought that if that was the cause the other side woudnt of worked either ! I maybe wrong though !

I don't see how it can be this valve, for the same reason as you, ie it does both sides.

It does both sides, but internally are two separate valves, so could be something wrong internally??
