Default Sierra Brake question....

Just a quick one, does anyone know if 4x4 cosworth front brakes fit onto a normal xr4x4 hubs please? I`m assuming they do, about to buy a set but just want to make sure before i buy them....

Cheers, Ed.

There may be another disc that is a lot closer to what you need.
What mix of bits are you trying to do, even discs from another make can be fitted, eg Lotus Elise 2001 discs are a exact fit for 288mm upgrade for vauxhall astra using veccy calipers all bolt on.
There is a quite a good mix and match selection for fords as well.

it can but not something i have tried........... i had 283 rwd discs with granny cos calipers and was very effective, but others have tried and it may require a little fettling of the caliper...........
scorpio cosworth discs are 4 stud, the right size 278 and the offset is closer, not sure with the 4x4cos calipers though,

tbh i haven't noticed any real difference with a car with 4x4 cos brakes than a granny cos setup.................... saves pennies as well........

They fit straight on with 17mm spacers or you can use mondeo st discs and use 6mm spacers.

the 4wd calipers are for a 278 disc the same as a granny one.................. now with a granny one i fitted 283's but others have had to alter the caliper to allow the disc to actually turn..
