Default Cossie Rocker Gasket Oil Leak

Hello all. I've got a major oil leak from the rocker gasket in my 2wd Sapphire Cosworth. Just yesterday we changed it from a Ford paper one to a cometic gasket, and also put gasket sealant around the half-moons. However the bloody thing is leaking just as bad!

Any ideas what the hell I can do to finally sort this? Are there better half-moon seals available? Better sealant that can be used? Could the top of the head or the rocker cover itself be slightly warped?

Please help!

cometics are fine imo. i never had any issues with them tbh,

you need to make sure you pull them down evenly,

i always do mine with the cam pulleys off, and finger some sealant into the half moons as im tightening it down, always 100% dry then

Never had a leaky cometic either, I don't bother taking the pulleys off, but do use sealant in the groove in which the half moon seal sits, and ends, I also trim the commetic gasket where it meets the seals as find they are a smidgen too long.
Are you sure it's not coming from under the front caps, ie did you apply sealant to the underside of the front caps, as they will leak from the join otherwise and look like the gasket is leaking.

The nitrile/metal ones are identical to cometic so wont cure the problem if u have had problems with a cometic one mate!!! I bought a full engine set of those and they are the same!! But as u say are alot cheaper which is good! They do a solid nitrile one but i bought one about 4yrs ago and didnt get on with it as the cam ends of it squished out when i torqued it up so never bothered with it.

As said might be cos of cam seals or not enough sealant on the ends of the half moons, silly question is it deff the half moons and not the camshaft seals?! Had them go before now......
