door wiring saph cossy
since re shelling my cossie i have 1 red wire in each front footwell which have come from the front doors and i think are for the electric wing mirrors. they have female bullet conectors on the end. i cant find were they are ment to go. are they noramally redundant.
also the anoying buzzer keeps going off when i turn my lights on does the system know the doors are open from the door switches or the door locks themselves?
hope that makes sence.
thankyou

There is a joint in the door that joins the spare red wire you've got to the other red wire that goes into the door. They (or "it" in your case as one is not connected) feed both the electric mirrors (that's the connector with the violet wires in it) and the central locking motor (that's the connector that contains the white and yellow wires). I don't see a problem if you leave it disconnected, but wrap it in tape or heatshrink so it doesn't come into contact with earth.

Why run a new wire ? If you've got a red/orange or red/yellow or similar red running to the door that also contains a yellow wire and a white wire, then this is also fed from fuse 10 and will feed the mirrors and central locking. Just check that this wire has permanent 12V to it. If so, then just tape up the loose single red wire you've got.
