hi all
im assuming my belt needs changing as its slapping about all over the place and making some ridiculus noises.now it seems like a stupid question but how do i change this as it dosent seem as straight foward as just releasing the alternator like the good ol days.im also assuming it has a big ol tensioner that needs to come out with very little room that looks like a 8mm allen key bolt.so is that all i need to do,remove that tensioner with the allen bolt and slip the old belt off and the new one on

sounds more like a tensionor issue mate as for changing belt just push bach the tesinor as they are automatic.

yeah i was also thinking that but bychanging the belt first which the new one wont be stretched it should make some difference and maynot need the tensioner but if i change the tensioner first and makes no difference i will then have to pay out again for the belt and im on a bit of a budget as its just cost me $hit loads today just to open the bonnet

job done.wernt to bad of a job to do and the noises have 90% gone.still got some light grumbling from the tensioner but for £118 it can stay like that for a bit.
