Default Endura DE engine swap

Hi there, quick introduction, im Matt from Wells, Somerset.

I just replaced my 1.8 TDi 1992 Engine with a Endura DE 1999 engine, I was told this is perfectly alright...

When I went to change it, i noticed there were some slight differences, mechanically. I changed the parts which needed changing (exhaust end etc) but now Ive come to the wiring, its slightly different. I know that, I could do it quite easily if I tried but the wire colours are different and I cant help but think If i got some wrong, itll blow something and ill have to get another engine.

The reason for change was no other reason than my TDi ended its life oiless and dead on the M5 on the way back from the dodgy garage I had cheaply bought it from.

The car is rust free and in perfectly good nic and not worthy of scrapping.

ANY help would be greatly appreciated.

Matt

Go to a scrappy and get a head and put it on the td. you'll need to change fuel pump, compression ratio on the n/a block so just re do the head.

na mate,
i take it its just the pump wiring different?
right.... if so you can either swap the gubbins and sensors from the original car pump to the new pump, note these are enclosed im metal armored casings with shere bolts but can be done,
or pehapps easier to just swap the pumps.
