1.6 zetec block/cylinder head question?

Will a 1.8 silvertop cylinder head fit a 1.6 silver top block?

Yeah it will bolt on and water/oilways line up but it will lower compression, also what you going to do for a gasket? The bore will overlap into the combustion chamber aswell

Just throwing some ideas around to improve the breathing of a 1.6, i.e the bigger valves and tracts of the 1.8 head.
