Unhappy escort rear wheel bearings

cant get more than 12 months out of a pattern rear wheel bearing anyone else have the same problem and anyone found a solution

all bearing are skf even fords

what wheels do you have? If they are the wrong offset they will knacker wheel bearings in no time.

have 2 mk6 escorts one on escort ghia rims one on mondeo 6spokes both suffer the same problems

Check the condition of your stub axles and also the hub wear your bearings press into.....although as you say you have two cars with the same problem I'd be looking at maybe the workmanship ie is something not being done correctly as apposed to wear else where causing premature wear (lol that sounds odd).

I had the same problem with my nearside wheel bearing, turned out it was the hub, am having same problem now with the offside but can't get a wheelhub anywhere, they are like rocking horse xxxx!

As said worth checking the hubs, not a ford but my old w reg metro used to spin the bearings in the hub, every year new bearings and hubs/discs/pads for mot without fail!!
