Mk4 escort van diesel to petrol conversion
I've just done an XR3i conversion on my previously 1.8 diesel mk4 van and after doin all the hard bits i reaslised the petrol tank from the xr3i i had planned to use was a differnt size and shape to the van tank.
I was lead to belived that i need to use the xr3i petrol tank because of a fuel sender or something and the obvious lack of outlets for the pump etc on the diesel tank therefore i have bodged the xr3i tank on and it works fine however it is not the best solution and i was just wondering if anyone knew of a way around this problem???
Cheers for your help

hi I've got an escort van with a 1.6 engine but i want to change it from carb to injectors. and to put an xr3i tank in is the way to go because of the swirl pot in side the tank. the reason being is you don't want to stave the engine of fuel. as long as it's secure it shouldn't be a problem.
