Default Mk4 fiesta 2.0 zetec conversion

Hi all, iv'e just bought a p reg mk4 fiesta with a knackered 1.4 zetec se lump in it replaced it with another and found that was knackered too so before i get too dissheartened with the car and smash the living day lights out of it i was wondering whether anyone had fitted a mondeo 2.0 engine to one at all and if so what parts do i need to change.

If anyone can help me i'd be very greatful.
Cheers Shaun.

I hav'nt mate but the mk4 fiesta uses totaly different engine mounting points i think as from what i'm aware the mk3 is at the back on the block and my engine mount comes off the front of the head.

Default mount

you have to make a mounting bracket up for the engine mount, i used a mk4 escort complete engine mount and it bolted to the silver top, mondeo zetec engine block, then welded some thick tube, steel plate to the inner wing for the escort mount to mount to, that was on a w,reg mk4 fiesta,

you'll struggle to find any decent mk4/5 2.0 conversion guides or answers... as they all vary.

A lad on facebook used to make the mounts for said engine swap, his name was jordan cartwright i believe, could give him a message see if anything can be done...he owned a blue mk5 zs with a 2.1 zetec turbo lump in it.

Or you could make a template out of the mount you need with some card, and take it to a metal work place to get made in metal.

It's not too tough of a job to do....If you're happy welding/fabricating mounts. It's by no means a bolt in conversion.

I've got a mk4 fiesta with a 300bhp blacktop zetec turbo engine with focus rs rods and pistons. Focus rs gearbox and custom drive shafts.

Matt.

Hi mate. Yeah I got your message, I've been burnt before so I don't let people come and look at the car that I don't know..... but ill happily answer any questions you've got. In fact, I know of a guy that had one amounts for sale for this conversion. I'll dig his number out.

No worries. He's still got them for sale. And only wants £100 for the whole set. Makes it a bolt in conversion. If I remember right the car went to pumaspeed and they fabricated them. I only know him from buying a gearbox from him. Seems a real genuine guy and he had a few other mk4 fiesta bits too!! Can't remember his name but this is his number.
